Description
Grants of up to $2,500 for AL and GA residents who are disabled, over 60, have low income or are mentally or physically challenged. Residents must live, worship, work, or attend school in Alabama: Etowah, Marshall, DeKalb, Jackson, Cherokee, Calhoun, Cleburne, Madison, Blount and St. Clair, Morgan, Cullman and Talladega Counties.; Georgia: Bartow, Catoosa, Chattooga, Dade, Floyd, Gordon, Haralson, Paulding, Polk and Walker Counties
The grant is to pay for:
- Home repair that corrects a health hazard
- Home repair that assists individuals with disabilities
- Immediate food or shelter needs not met by any other agency
- Immediate health care needs not met by any other agency
